Loans
The UK loan market can be broken down into two types of loan. Secured, where the loan is granted but with the security of a charge against your home or other suitable property, and unsecured loans
The market for loans is vast. However, there are a fairly limited number of key providers for second charge loans and fewer still for unsecured loans.
The APR is the interest rate you will pay. It is directly affected by your credit score which will detail adverse credit, ie defaults or CCJ’s and your employment status. If your credit score and employment status are good then the interest rate will be very competitive.
What does APR stand for?
One of the most important factors of taking out a loan is to understand how much interest you are paying and how much it will cost. APR is the annual percentage rate, it is the amount of interest charged on the loan that has to be paid back as a payment for lending the money.
Many loan companies will try and sell insurance for accident and sickness at the time the loan is taken out. These policies make the loan much more lucrative for the lender as very often the contributions for the insurance is added to the loan at the outset. If you agree to take out insurance this can have a favourable affect on your application.
